The best ever chocolate chip cookie recipe is easy to whip up in a matter of minutes and rivals any bakery cookie! With no chilling time and ingredients you have in your pantry, you will certainly want to enjoy these cookies again and again.

Chocolate Chip cookies are classic. And my recipe has no funny business with technique or ingredients. No chilling allows you to gather ingredients, mix, bake and YUM!

Gooey chocolate chips nestled in a chewy, buttery soft cookie…this recipe is far better than the Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe! It is the best chocolate chip cookie recipe ever, totally addictive and delicious!!

This cookie recipe is so easy, you can bake up the perfect chocolate chip cookies with minimal effort, even if you are a novice to baking cookies.

Cookies are for me the best dessert. A small little bite of perfection. Small enough to sample more than one kind but satisfyingly sweet!

Here are some of my best cookie baking tips for delicious perfection.

Tips for Cookie Baking Success

  • Ensure to use softened butter and eggs at room temperature. This allows the ingredients to incorporate properly. Take your butter out in the morning if you plan to bake so that it is properly softened.
  • Melting your butter in the microwave will result in chewier, flatter cookies. Softened butter allows for pockets of air to form while baking to fluff up the finished cookie. A fluffy, gooey cookie is always better than a flat and melted cookie!
  • When using a non-stick baking sheet, reduce baking temperature by 25 degrees to prevent the cookies from browning too much on the bottom.
  • To ensure uniform baking, make the cookies the same size and thickness. The use of a cookie scoop promotes uniformity with the size of cookie dough drops.
  • Use a cool cookie sheet for each batch. Placing cookie dough on a warm sheet will cause them to spread too much prior to baking. If you experience excessive spreading, a warm cookie sheet may be to blame.
  • Always bake cookies to the minimum time and then check for doneness. One minute too long can result in overbaked cookies.
  • If your cookies come out with dark, crispy edges the cause may be related to a dark cookie sheet or one that is too large for the size of your oven.

The best ever chocolate chip cookie recipe is an easy, go to recipe for perfect, chewy, delicious classic cookies that are loaded with chocolate chips!

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Butter
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar Packed
  • ½ Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 TSP Vanilla Extract
  • Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 TSP Baking Soda
  • ½ TSP Salt
  • 12 Ounces Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F

  • In a stand mixer, cream butter and sugars together until light and creamy.

  • While this mixes, in a separate bowl, combine flour, salt and baking soda and set aside.

  • Add egg and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture and mix until just combined.

  • Add the flour mixture in and stir until completely integrated. Do not overmix.

  • Using a wooden spoon, mix in the chocolate chips until distributed throughout the cookie dough.

  • Using a medium cookie scoop, drop dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.

  • Bake 9-11 minutes or until edges are light brown. Allow to cool for 2 minutes on the baking sheet prior to transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.

  • Store in an airtight container for 5 days.
