The Renault Scenic E-Tech electric has claimed the coveted Erin Baker Award at the Auto Trader New Car Awards 2024, after the renowned online buying platform's Editorial Director praised the all-electric family car for its impressive range, generous standard equipment, and appealing design.
A highlight of the annual awards, the exclusive accolade is presented to vehicles with excellent design that demonstrate a strong sustainability focus.
On her reasons for choosing the Scenic E-Tech electric, Erin Baker, Auto Trader's Editorial Director, commented: 'The Renault Scenic E-Tech offers the sort of range on a single charge that usually comes with a much higher price tag. Not only does this give drivers' peace of mind, but it's a great looking car inside and out. The accolade adds to the rapidly growing trophy cabinet of the Scenic E-Tech electric, notably following its win of the 'Car of the Year 2024' title, which was presented earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show and awarded by 59 car journalists from 22 countries.
Brimming with useful and intuitive technology, the Renault Scenic E-Tech's all-electric powertrain features a compact motor (with 125kW/170hp or 160kW/220hp) plus a 60kW or 87kWh battery pack for a range of up to 379 miles. The long wheelbase ensures an exceptionally spacious cabin while its pioneering Solarbay opacifying glass roof and ingenious rear armrest – which includes storage for devices, screen stands and cup holders – create an inviting, comfortable and practical space for families.
Clever use of new materials and a complete absence of leather in the interior are part of a renewed focus on sustainability. In fact, up to 24% of the Scenic E-Tech electric's materials are recycled while 90% of its mass – including the battery – is recyclable.
The 87kWh battery version is available with a choice of three trim levels – techno, esprit Alpine and iconic – and the Renault Scenic E-Tech electric can also be specified with a 60kWh (Comfort Range) battery, which comes exclusively in techno trim. The range starts from £37,495 OTR.
