death brings to an end more than three generations of Halgas shoemakers that began more than 100 years ago with his grandfather in Poland He played and composed for many local well known orchestras recorder may already have stopped emitting signals from the rocky uneven undersea terrain north of Japan The recorders could give some idea about what happened in the final minutes the aircraft was project to study 1000 hom*osexually active men at various risk stages for developing the mysterious disease The federal government already funds similar projects at the Univer sity of California in Berkeley Uni versity of Southern California in Los Angeles Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and the University of Pittsburgh The four year study in Chicago will be conducted by the Howard Brown Memorial Clinic which serves the hom*osexual community and Northwestern University Medi cal School The purpose of the project is to study the natural history of acquired immune deficiency syndrome an often fatal disease which breaks down the immune system The disease most often strikes sex ually active hom*osexual men overall goal is to understand the history of the epidemiology of Dr David Ostrow
