Henry Rehn CARBONDALE, MI. -Dr. Henry J. Rehn, 86, the first dean of the business college at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, died at 6:30, p.m. Tuesday at his home in Carbondale.

Memorial services will 1 be at 4 p.m. March 12 at First Presbyterian Church here. Burial will be in Snyder Cemetery. Dr. Rehn, a native of Russia, received his bachelor's degree in 1924 from Oregon State University, his master's degree in 1925 from the University of Oregon, and a Ph.D.

in 1930 from the University of Chicago. Dr. Rehn joined the STU faculty in 1945, becoming the first dean of the College of Vocations and Professions, which was established the same year. He was named dean of the School of Business (now the College of Business and 1 Administration) when it was organized in 1957. Dr.

Rehn retired from teaching in 1969 and in 1980 was awarded the university's Distinguished Service Award. He was a member of the Carbondale Rotary Club and First Presbyterian Church. His first wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Rehn, preceded him in death in 1966. Survivors include his wife, Mrs.
